ZIL 111V Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 "OOB" straight from the box: Testors Ice Lime + clear coats, black washes & BMF touches here & there. One of my Tom Daniel favorite...First pix a bit scarry!!!:
unclescott58 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Looks great. Another classic Daniel kit. Scott
Dragline Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Really super build. You did what I did on mine and added metal tips to the headers. I think it adds a nice touch and your paint choice is also very clever. I painted mine Tamiya Lt Green but that Ice looks fantastic. Bob

TooOld Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Great looking paint and detailing ! Looks like you molded the roof into the body , that really makes a big difference . The engine detailing and drilling out the headers also add to the overall look . Very Nice work !
hobbybobby Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I love this kit and you have done a wonderful job!
rustybill1960 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Awesome build of a classic kit Man! Thank You for sharing It makes me look forward to my own build Later Russ
ZIL 111V Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 THX for 100% positive comments guys!Yes the tricky part of assembling this TD kit, is the 4 piece body & especially the "top" section, with that ugly seam: had to "mold it" in one piece, believe me getting in the seat/floor single part later, was the real challenge here!!! Indeed BMF was used for "drilled" exhaust tips & widow frame, personaly think it looks way better.Always nice to see those old Monogram kits still around, 1968 in this case, but must admit that the chrome plating finish on chrome tree (engine parts) was a bit on the low side (very thin & grainy!!!).
mnwildpunk Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I spi dered your build and have to say it trapped my attention
