ferrarijoe Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Been working on this off and on for a couple years now. It is a huge kit.The box is 16" x 24". when done the hull is 16" x 7.5" Has ton of detail on it. Wish it would of came with some figures.

ferrarijoe Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 I am leaving top of hull removable. Then I am going to make a stand for the turret. I cut the top of the turret off since it has full detail of gun.

ferrarijoe Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 Been working on turret and trying to get rid of ejector pin marks, there are a ton. Here is the turret how it is supposed to look but you cant see much in side. So I cut along the weld on the top to open it up.
Jim B Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 The Soviets sure kept a lot of ammo out in the open in their turrets, although this was probably common practice for all armies during WWII.
ferrarijoe Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) Alright done with everything to get paint started. Had to order paint so it wont be here till Tuesday at the earliest. The tracks are 31.5" long. masking and this is what happened while shaking my Alclad black primer. Primer went everywhere. Primer and pre-shading done. The suspension works on this model. ferrarijoe Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 Finally got some color laid down. I used Vallejo Russian Green set, it comes with 5 different greens and clear. Now on to weathering.
ferrarijoe Posted October 19, 2014 Author Posted October 19, 2014 Started weathering. this is my first attempt at weathering. I used Testors CreateFx enamel stains. Which are just enamel washes.. they are on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $2.15 a bottle.
ferrarijoe Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 Finished it up. I liked the way the weathering came out. Made the mud with baking soda and paint. Probably should of done more on the tracks.
