06redfiregt Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I hope this is the correct section for this since its kind of an odd ball build. This is my first time posting but I have been trolling for quite some time. I thought I would post up some pics since this is my first scratch build. Kilrathy10 was my inspiration for this after seeing his build(s). Mine isnt as good as his but worth sharing non the less. I picked up a 1:32 scale Ford aeromax for the rear tires and the fifth wheel plate which worked out nicely.
bbowser Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Nice work on this, very convincing! Do you have access to a 1:1 for reference?
mikemodeler Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Very nice, that is some serious scratchbuilding!

06redfiregt Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Very nice, that is some serious scratchbuilding! Thank you. For my first one i'm pretty happy with it.

kilrathy10 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) Hey, Man....What are you talking about??? This thing looks GREAT....I was contemplating building one of the newer dual axle car haulers that I see around here, all the time.....They don't have as much lattice structure underneath, but have the dual axle set up you have on this model.....Great job on this one, and I'm glad to have been of any inspiration......But, now.....You've motivated me to get to work on the afore mentioned.....And great job on that fifth wheel......Good idea on that......I like the wood decking, too.....You don't see too many of those any more........Thanks a lot, Man, for the renewed inspiration, and Awesome job.........
