bobthehobbyguy Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 If you look in the text it shows Sturbucks and ejoing. Mine said it was from att but the sender may change. If you print the gift card it will load code that will take over your computer to send out more fake emails of this type. Mine was in the spam folder in my email. Follows the line of fake package delivery,, toll road, and court appearance emails.
Joe Handley Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Haven't run across it yet, but then again, I'd just trash it since I don't drink any coffee, let alone Starbucks.
scummy Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 G,day , i got this link sent to me years ago and it has all the dirty little tricks they send out . http://www.hoax-slayer.com/
Tom Geiger Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Thats why I don't even open any of those free offer emails from any entity I didn't sign up for! Some of the spammers are getting crafty, spoofing from your friend's email and including a personal note from them inside urging you to click on a link to see something cool. Nope I don't click. And even on boards like this and the other model boards... some guys just post "Lookit This" and a link. Sorry, if you didn't take the time to describe why I'm clicking, I don't
espo Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 There seems to be a lot of bad people doing bad things to others. I've been invited to increase the size of my manly hood, find a new girlfriend and claim my plane tickets to somewhere, just today.
Danny Lectro Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 G,day , i got this link sent to me years ago and it has all the dirty little tricks they send out . http://www.hoax-slayer.com/Yes, Hoax Slayer is an excellent resource. I also use Snopes, Facecrooks and Naked Security by Sophos. All of these groups have Facebook pages, so if you're on FB, you can read about all the latest scams in your news feed.
Tom Geiger Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 There seems to be a lot of bad people doing bad things to others. I've been invited to increase the size of my manly hood, find a new girlfriend and claim my plane tickets to somewhere, just today. And foreign governments contacting me to collect the millions of dollars left to me in their country! I'd be a zillionaire by now if it was all true! The funniest one recently was sent to the NNL East email account, supposed to be a lady looking for an American man.... Dear East, I want to be your girlfriend... yea right!
