3gear Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 The 66 was for me so I could learn how to do masking tape vinyl roof, and chrome foil. THe 66 also has Ferrari F40 wheels and seats, scratch built roll cage. I was learning how so I could reproduce my step fathers 67 427 SS
Snake45 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 That's not an easy kit to build and you've done a fine job with it. Model on!
3gear Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 Thanks guys. And snake45 Thanks, the whole flip front was a pain to align!
Snake45 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Thanks guys. And snake45 Thanks, the whole flip front was a pain to align! I know. I've been screwing with one off and on since the '70s and still can't get it to suit me. I'm gonna give up and cut off the front and rear ends and graft them onto a Revell '67 body. Although they're supposedly different scales, they're remarkably close in actual size.

I did that years ago, when Revell first brought out the '67 kit. It is workable, and looks good too.
Mopar - D Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Great work on your first time vinyl roof and BMF.
Carmak Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Good looking build. Good call on the vinyl top!!
