Fabrux Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 That sounds a lot better than my first thought, which was that what was dumped from those belly dumpers was going to be rolled!
Jim B Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 My brother (a truck driver) was behind this the other day in Indiana. I guess this is the Army's version of the Yosemite Sam "Back Off" mud flaps! Nothing like a little artillery to clear traffic!
Petetrucker07 Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 Saw this today on my way home from work. Another short day sadly.
Jim B Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Nice looking Peterbilt.I'm heading out to LA this weekend, so I'm hoping to see some trucks out there that I usually don't see here in Central New York.
Crazy Ed Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Saw this today on my way home from work. Another short day sadly. Claayton, That's one of them Rigs folks want to just get out of the way of! Sure hope you're runnin' more often Loaded than Deadhead.........
Petetrucker07 Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 The weekend may be skim pickins for cool trucks. I'm sure you'll see some stuff that's not seen on the east coast. Hope LA treats you ok Jim.Nice looking Peterbilt.I'm heading out to LA this weekend, so I'm hoping to see some trucks out there that I usually don't see here in Central New York.
Petetrucker07 Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 From what I was told today, it seems as though things may be picking up. I'm hoping things are. I'm not holding my breath though. One of our big customers is making material again. The guy that operates the loader there was on vacation for 3 weeks. Claayton, That's one of them Rigs folks want to just get out of the way of! Jim B Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Ok, so does this count: I have no idea what it is (yes, I know it's an aircraft refueling truck, but I don't know who makes it). I took this photo from the window of my flight from Syracuse, NY, last Friday when we pulled up to our gate at Newark Liberty International Airport. I believe it is refueling a United Express Embraer ERJ-145 (similar to the one I flew on).
cowboy rich Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Nice one Jim, that would make one for shelf, to much scratch for me though.Rich
Jim B Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I think it would fill the shelf. To much scratch building for me, too.
Fabrux Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) Looks like a Peterbilt 320. I spent a lot of time at airports working FIFO jobs so I've seen lots of funky airport equipment. Never saw a fuel truck that big, though. Edited April 8, 2016 by kataranga
Jim B Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I might be a Peterbilt 320. Could be a Mack for all I could tell. They were moving around pretty good. It even has a twin steer.
Petetrucker07 Posted April 8, 2016 Author Posted April 8, 2016 I Googled the company. I can only find Freightliners, the cabs are different. But, they have some big fuel trucks.
Petetrucker07 Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 Saw this 367 drill rig on a delivery yesterday. The workers said it's brand new. It only has 170 hours on it.
GrumpyGrowly Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Humboldt Bay fire district pulled out the Hazmat truck today. Looks like an old C900 Ford. They said it still runs like a champ.
highway Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 My brother (a truck driver) was behind this the other day in Indiana. I guess this is the Army's version of the Yosemite Sam "Back Off" mud flaps! I just hope the driver doesn't get a bad case of road rage!!
Force Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 A cool truck I saw at Turner's Auto Wrecking in Fresno CA a little over a month ago. Kenworth K125 with torsion bar suspension and DD 8V-71 just sitting there in one of the scrap yards.

highway Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I wasn't able to a pic because I was driving, and not sure if a pic taken from my dash cam would have came out well if I could have stopped it at the right time in the video and screenshot it (and it doesn't help I left the dash cam in the truck ), but I was shocked to see a Ford F350 dually pulling a gooseneck, and on the gooseneck was an old dual drive Freightliner cabover! When I first seen it, I actually thought the Freightliner was following (and way too close I might add ) the dually, it wasn't until everything got closer to me that I could see the trailer and that the Freightliner was on the deck. Of course, the first thing that came to mind: COOL IDEA FOR A BUILD!
Petetrucker07 Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 I do enjoy a yellow Pete. That's an old Cherokee Freight Lines truck. I'm sure being from Northern Ca you know who I'm talkin about.
