Is there any kits currently available or from the last few years that has a GOOD blown Chevy in it?

I'd like to do a funny car which ran a BBC.

Thanks,

Mike

Unfortunately, I no longer have my parts box. All I have access to is what I buy. I'm thinking of the Revell Vega funny car that has the blower but lacks a lot of necessaries needed for a BBC like the proper front plate.

Doesn't the AMT 1967 Vette have a Blown BBC?

I think so, but I think that's also an axle-through-block kit. Should be able to use the blower parts on some other full block, though.

The AMT '69 and '70 Chevelle kits used to have blowers in them. Not sure about the latest issues, though.

REVELL 68 roadster, bbc two optons, stock and the supercharged version, which is pretty nice. The s/c is a carb fed version, nice hat and with a little work, you can make it f/i,

I wonder what kit that's from? Seems buying the kit would be cheaper and I'd have some parts left over.

That is from the 68 corvette 2 in1 kit by Revell. I have about 3or4 of them just for the engine.

Can you tell us which car you're building? That might help us help you narrow down the options, too.

The Revell 1/25 BBCs ('69 Camaro, '68/9 Vette, '65 Chevelle SS Z-16, etc.) are all of the block and trans halves molded together variety-- good, but better exists IMHO. Plus, the injector hat in the '68 kit is probably too new for anything which was still running a blown stock block BBC.

I think the AMT '70 Monte Carlo and '68 El Camino kits' BBCs are a little nicer, and I can send you some pics of the Monte's BBC parts if needed.

It does not have a blower hat does it? Those four tube injectors are fairly common in kits I think. I think but am not sure that either the Revell or AMT parts pack Pontiac have it, as does the recent Revell chi town fc.

Yep, no hat/scoop, just the Hilborn injector atop the blower:

I'd be willing to bet his '69 Camaro ran a very similar setup, with a stock type block, chrome low valve covers, Cyclone headers, etc.
