Wow Steven Im just stunned at the quality of your builds even if they are JUST curbside . Do you think that you could do a pic of all of them together?

I'll see what I can do Dave. Thank you! Steve

These builds are beautiful. I like that you do up tops with the convertibles, it adds a lot to the model. Wish all the convertible kits came with them. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Guys! I always like to build my convertibles with up tops if possible Ed. For one, I really like the look. And second, it helps hide the "less than stellar" detailing on the interior of these old annual kits! :) Steve

Gawd. Stunning! All of them. But, hands down, my favorite is the '58 Buick! Great models.

Thanks Danno! I love that old Buick too. That's why it's the first photo! :) I picked it up on ebay as a restorable built up. Wish I would have taken a few before pics. Steve

The AMT '58 Buick Convertible annual kit was the second car model I ever built. Bought right off the Rexall Drug store's shelf when first released (I'll let you guess what year that was! LOL). No BMF back then, and as a grade-school-age model builder, I wasn't yet into things like paint and trim anyway. I was into ~ guess what ~ gluing as many of the custom parts (louvers, fins, scoops, fender skirts, spotlights, mirrors, antennas, and continental kits) onto those revolutionary one-piece styrene bodies as possible.

Love it!

Oh.... You were one of those kids huh? :) Well, this wasn't one of your old kits then, it was in pretty nice shape. I made the connie kit for it though. Mostly to cover up the horrendous sink marks in the trunk lid. by the time I had them repaired, the "Roadmaster" script on the trunk lid was not able to be restored. So I decided an "after market" continental kit was in order. :) SteveDSCN3064_zps62429ce3.jpg
