Got the front end of the Viper in and scribed new door lines making it a 4 door, it's rough but so am I lol. Body work is done (I think) so as soon as I get some paint I'll start spraying the many layers it will be getting. Just about to start putting the Viper rear end in as well. Initial test fitting of the engine looks good too so that's a plus, nice to have stuff falling in order for once.

Forgot to note that I lost the rear panel so I scratched a new one.

Just posting a couple of update pictures, I have the engine, drive train, suspension, brakes and interior all fitted. I should have all of the above primed and painted this week. I Made a new rear floor to clear the transmission.  I had to keep the truck lowered so the axle would lineup. Kept the GTO brakes and tires so I made white walls to fill the wheels.

Awesome work Pat. The "I love cats" and pink fuzzy seats are golden ideas.

But if I may ask a question. I don't see them yet and I'm sure you have a plan for this but I'm just curious on how many mufflers you plan on using to keep that little monster quiet? :D

WOW Vesa, you've been busy. Lots of work on that engine and chassis, they look very impressive. The subtle patina on the body is a nice touch.

For most builds this year, I think the level of engineering outshines most years. Tough crowd.

Got the Viper rear end adapted over, it's all ready to drop in. Also cut out the side windows, removed some of the trim and got some primer on.

Next is body colors and weathering. Which is something I'm still very new to so this is where the real fun begins for me.

The Cruiser got its interior painted. Using my own car as a general guide, I two-toned it using Krylon primer for the dark grey and the flat Model Master military color Dark Gull Gray for the light color. Still needs touch up and detailing.

The exhaust had to be rerouted. It's molded with the pipes bending to the side. It worked better for me to have it exiting out the back. I hope it won't seem too suspicious that it pokes through a reasonable spot in the bumper. Holes drilled.

With the top of the engine on, everything JUST fits.

A hack job of hinging the rear lid. I'd explore hinging it from the sides the next time.

Fantastic work Jonathan and Mike. I have to say I really think this might be the best cannonball run yet, some really amazing builds this year.

Things are heating up ... some great work going on madly in all these shops to make the deadline!

I have just some PE wipers to mount ... only ones I had that fit the GTO. The body is mounted, but no pics until it's ALL done.
