Thanks guys! I think I may have to set up something in my shop for photographing finished builds. The lighting is pretty good & there's enough clutter to give some good reflections so the paint can show off. It's a thought. :) Steve

Thanks Guys! I've managed to get the interior very close to finished today. All the foiling & detail work is done, as well as the carpet flocking. Just a few minor touches & some assembly & it will be done. SteveDSCN3705_zps5642e5ba.jpgDSCN3706_zps9cbe2b4c.jpgDSCN3708_zpsc3e9dcaf.jpg

Very nice work. Have to be Houdini to be able to foil inside that tub lol

Thanks guys!! I have a little trick for that Tommy. I cut very thin strips of foil with a straight edge for the long thin strips, & then position them in place. That way I don't have to "contort" myself into unnatural positions to try to get them cut straight. :) Steve

Absolutely love the paint! Very inspirational, I'll have to dig up the '65 I have buried somewhere.

I love the lines of the '65s and owned 2, a 300 (non-letter) "beater" hard top and a New Yorker. I acquired the built-up kit when I had the the 300 and almost replicated my 1:1 but I'm thankful I didn't head in that direction...

Thanks guys! Mark I love the mid 60s 300s as well. I had a red '67 hardtop in high school. Personally, I've always thought the '66 was the sexiest looking 300 they ever produced! I'd probably get a lot of blow back on that opinion, but it is my opinion. I have one of those in my stash coming up also. ;)

Steve your interior is going to look perfect when you get it all assembled. Looks good already with all the the prices spread out can't wait to see it together.

A 1966 Chrysler story... back in the summer of 1976 my friend picked up a '66 Chrysler 4 door sedan. It was that dark green that many of them were, but it had a red hood on it. His father soon after got a '66 Chrysler 2 door hardtop, dark green and irony was that it also had a red hood. I had an accident with my '66 Valiant, which was silver, and I wound up putting a red hood on it. So we formed "The Red Hood Club", a secret society. People would ask why we both had red hoods and we'd tell them that it was a secret and they'd have to have one to know about it! We still kid about this today!

Well, I'm getting pretty close to finishing this project. The interior is done, & the engine will follow closely. After that, just odds & ends & miscellaneous details. Hoping to finish up sometime this week. If not it'll be a couple of weeks. Leaving on vacation Saturday! WOO-HOO!! :D Steve

For those of you who followed this build & encouraged me, thank you! I put the final touches on it tonight, but it was far too late to set up for any pictures. So I'll shoot for some photos in "Under Glass" tomorrow night. This is my first build for 2015 & I'm pleased that I made my tentative February 1st deadline. I'll be in Cancun Mexico next week, so I look forward to possibly following what's going on around here from a beach chair with a tequila in my hand! :D Thank you all! Steve
