Lovefordgalaxie Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Started on this Chevy on the First of January. It's a replica of a 1:1 Impala owned by my grandfather in the '60s. His car was black, with a dark green interior, and that is what my 1:25 scale version is. The paint I used on the body is automotive synthetic enamel. All the rest was painted with Testors enamels and acrylics. The only aftermarket stuff is the distributor and plug wires. Also built from sprue a upper radiator hose. Hope you guys like it. StevenGuthmiller Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Nothing like a black '64!! Great job Tulio! Steve
Ramfins59 Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 That looks absolutely beautiful Tulio. You did an excellent job on the paint and the BMF work.

hgbben Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Black is beautiful. What kit is this, Revell or AMT?
Monty Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Black is beautiful. What kit is this, Revell or AMT? Between the old style screw-mount posts on either side of the radiator and the chromed headlights, I'd say it's the AMT kit. That said, he's got an annoying way of popping out perfect paint jobs on these old cars that, when combined with some detail painting, make for some incredible builds.

Your telling me with those killer paint jobs.
Helix Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Just gorgeous Tulio, the only thing that bugs me about this kit is the moulded in headlights, guess it wouldn't take much to make it look realistic Cheers Ray
unclescott58 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Another great one Tulio. But, I expect nothing less from you. Even on non Ford models. Scott
