I just finished up the March 707 in this pic and just a few more bits to put on the 429'er and polish the wing. Working on my 1/43 CanAm collection during the holidays.

Looks great. I have loved building 1/43rd's over the years. They are getting a little harder to do with my 57 year old eyes.

Good looking collection. I love the Can-Am cars!

I have a few of those in slot car from, but I'd love to build them in 1/25 scale. There's no way I would even attempt 1/43. Nice stuff!

Don't know why it's so hard to find 1/24-25 CanAms. The only one that I have is a curbside Chaparral 2F.

Hi Don. The 2F wasn't a CanAm Car, it was an Endurance Road Racer - Daytona, Lemans and the such. Chaparral's CanAm Cars were the 2E's, 2G, 2H and 2J

There have been a number of 1/24 and 1/25 scale can am cars. Fisher Models make 2 different McLaren M6A, Porsche 917/30 in Sunoco markings and Chaparral 2E, Formula Canada did a 917/10 and a Shadow DN4, Accurate Miniatures McLaren M8B in various liveries.

There have been a couple 1/20 McLarens.

I think Otaki had some larger scale can am cars as well, a Lola, Shadow.

Cal, I just LOVE the old Can-Am cars. Cars that weighed little more than F1 cars but with upwards of 1500 hp. Just crazy. Please post your 429er when it's done. I have some awesome books on Can-Am cars and racing and that was a great car.

Cheers,

Tim
