After a near miss which resulted in a safety inspection, the foreman followed up on inspector Mike DeRagon's suggestion and added some angles to provide a more positive stop for the winch cradle.

Thanks TJ. Is this your first visit? Keep checking, I'm adding all the time.

Yeah it is....Had no idea you were building this....The new stuff is just as awesome.....I really like how you did all those major industrial tools....And those ladders are pretty impressive, too.....Amazing work, Man....Amazing work.....I've got to get off my duff and get to work on something for my truck models.....I think I need a loading bay or two..... :D

It's been quite awhile since I stopped by your shop Pat.

Nice job on all of the scratch building. Some great additions to the shop!

Keep coming back Rob. It's a perpetual WIP. Today I'm going to go pester Leo again at the engine shop as my measurements of the flywheel grinder aren't adequate.

Went and  pestered Leo again. Here's the gentleman who allows me to wander around his shop armed with camera, tape measure pad & pencil. I couldn't reproduce all those machines if it weren't for him.

As a "while the paint dries " project I started making a V12 out of two Mickey Thompson Pontiac 389's. Cut the blocks and heads of two engines and put them back together in a V12 configuration. Valve covers are scratchbuilt as is the valley cover.

Scratchbuilt some vent caps and installed drinking straw cylinder bores.

I managed to drill through a couple of valves.

The water pump is from a junk engine and is mated to the bottom part of the Mickey Thompson front cover. I'm not sure what I will do with this engine yet. If It goes on display in the engine shop, I'll remove the head locating tabs, smooth the decks and add bolts holes, water passages etc. at least to one side and possibly show it with one side open. Then I might complete it and put it in the engine collection or stick it into something.
