The new workspace is taking shape. Putting the dios back together, bit by bit. Some repairs needed but not too many.

Reinstalled the big Dyno. Decided to swap engines. A Detroit V12 replaced the twin turbo Cummins. And, the V12 Ardun will go on the other one. But first, I have to find some exhaust manifolds for it as well as wire and plumb it.

You have some nice engines there, Pat..... My younger brother works for a Detroit Diesel service company here in England, where he has worked for many years in the parts department, 44 years he told me this morning !

Let us know the figures on that Ardun after you've run her through her paces.

Did a bit of research. Found out that Ardun head kits are available from Don Ferguson for around $14,500. Also found out that an Ardun owned by Kohler Racing made 400 HP at 6500RPM on a dyno. So with a bit of extrapolation, the 12 churned out 600 Hp at 6500, all things being proportional. And that is with the weird plug spacing too.

Thanks Pat, surprisingly the v12 was only 267ci stock. I 'd be willing to bet that Kohler had it opened up.

That could be. More research required.?

Your workshop is looking really busy now, Pat....... The whole scene is just how the real workshop would appear, during the process of putting everything back in place, following a move from one site to another , such as a house move in your case. Your machines, engines, toolboxes and figures are so realistic, and the workshop area of this diorama can easily pass for the real thing in close up photographs. You must be enjoying this opportunity to get the diorama set up fully again.

Nice little batch of parts you have there, Pat......... The pump looks good, and the figure for the tractor too.

Over in the WIP: Other Racing: section, I am building a 1:20 scale Red Bull F1 race car. Having a bit of trouble with getting the seated driver figure into the car at the moment.

Good luck with your Background Diorama, Engine Rebuilders project !

Pat, your tractor  ? looks great and I look forward to seeing the driver painted..

Thanks Carl. It looks like he was made for that tractor, that is how well he fits on it.
