The magazines and internet are full of references to the 40 Ford turning 75 this year so I pulled out a 40 Ford Coupe kit and set about building it.

I started with the Good-guys issue of Revell's 40 Standard Coupe and a left over 40 Convertible body from my parts box.

After separating the two front clips I added the Deluxe front to the Standard Coupe's body and used the Deluxe hood.

Most of the rest of the kit is built straight from the box. I modified a pair of rear discs from a Revell 32 Ford so that I could keep the excellent 40 Ford backing plates for another project.

I substituted a seat from a Revell 32 3W for the stock buckets

Paint is Testors Turquoise and BMF was used for the trim
