YBlock292 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 So this is my first build in 2015 and my first new model here in this forum. I dediced to paint the pony-car in "vintage burgundy" - a color which was available in 64 teamed up to a "sand" colored interior. To give it a more realistic look, I gave the windshield a litte shot with "clear blue" (Tamiya) so imitate tinted glass. Also the carpet got a little flocking.
sjordan2 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Beautiful work. What brand is the vintage burgundy?
YBlock292 Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Thanks! The color I used is Tamya's "Marone" TS-11 (spray can).
10thumbs Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Hi Ludwig, The car came out really nice. The color suits well and shines nicely and matches the interior. Very nice details on the dash, and BMF on the door panels too! Excellent. The garage and the pavement look good too. Is your airplane behind those doors? lol.
YBlock292 Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Thanks Andrew and M.R.Dalton. No, that's not my airplane behind those doors, it's the garage for all the models I have built throughout the years
10thumbs Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I remember, back in the day, my older brother had a girlfriend with a dark green 4 spd. convertible. It wasn't the 271 hp version, but it was a real cool car and ran well. A very nice car back then.
Sixties Sam Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Nice! Great color, well done! I have liked the 1st generation Mustangs! Sam
landman Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 After seeing this, I'm not sure if I'll want to post mine. Is your garage door a diorama or is it a large photograph?
Danno Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Great work! Beautiful color combination, beautiful model.
YBlock292 Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Thanks a lot! Pat: It's a large photograph, glued on cardboard. Ludwig
peekay Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Very nice, specially noted the detail on the wheels.
Chuck Mols Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Very nice, I really like the color combination.
