chunkypeanutbutter Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 No! Take it out, put a turbo'd engine in the rear, make your own turbo16! Free car is always good.
Danno Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I keep hearing refrains of Simon & Garfunkel . . . "Homeward Bound."
Lucas van H Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) No! Take it out, put a turbo'd engine in the rear, make your own turbo16! Free car is always good. Unless the carsrusted in the same speed as the staples in the brochure, believe me... 9 out of 10 are so crunchy, it's not even worth welding in new steel. Edited February 6, 2015 by Lucas van H
chunkypeanutbutter Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I'd still take it. Rust doesn't bother me, at least with that. Looks pretty sound.
Crazy Ed Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Boy are they ever gonna get in trouble for overstuffing those Dumpsters!!
Petetrucker07 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Looks like whoever drove it there tried to back out and just bailed out. They left the keys on and in reverse, the back up lights look on.
unclescott58 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Looks like whoever drove it there tried to back out and just bailed out. They left the keys on and in reverse, the back up lights look on. ???? Which car are seeing backup lights on? Scott
Chuck Most Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Hard to tell where the Peugeot ends and the dumpster begins... ditto the Chevette.
Petetrucker07 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) This 1, it kinda looks like the lights are on. I'm sure it's just a reflection, or me, I've been up for awhile, since 1130pm my time. I might be a little delirious. Edited February 7, 2015 by Petetrucker07
unclescott58 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Chevettes was not bad cars.. I'm with you on that. I had several friends who had Chevettes. They all seamed to have good luck with them. They may have been cheap cars. But, they were good cheap cars. Don't know about the Peugeot. It's been a long time since Peugeots were offered in the United States. Before that model was offered at least. Scott
chunkypeanutbutter Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Every car is a good car with the correct attention.
Tom Geiger Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I'm with you on that. I had several friends who had Chevettes. They all seamed to have good luck with them. They may have been cheap cars. But, they were good cheap cars. The little green Chevette I shopped for with my sister in law lasted her ten years... and then she gave it to a friend, still a worthy road car.
Longbox55 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Every car is a good car with the correct attention. No, there's plenty of cars that are bad right out of the gate. The Yugo comes to mind.
Kris Morgan Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 The Dodge Omni was garbage car.May be but, the GLH and GLHS were little rockets.
