Dann Tier Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Impressive Harry. Your so good at detail and realism. Enjoy seeing your models..I agree 100%!!
Richard Bartrop Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Gotta love those blower Bentleys, and that one turned out nice! If you're looking for one in a more standard size, Revell recently reissued Heller's excellent 1/24 kit.

Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 It looks great. Those cars have the feel of a truck when you stand next to one. They are huge. The engine note is pure music. And to say W.O. Bentley was not in favor of the blower...
Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 1/16 and 1/8 are my scales of choice... to me, those are "standard!"My standard scale would be 1/12 if a model of the 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Victoria, or Club Sedan were available, and it could be a simple kit, like the Monogram 1/12 '57 Bel Air. Have a huge fascination for '57 Fords since I was a kid about 7 years old. I saw one parked in front of my school, and I actually "escaped" to spend the afternoon in fascinated observation of all nuances of that very well kept Fairlane 500 Club Sedan. It was yellow and white, had a black and white interior, and had those amazing wide white wall tires, and miles of chrome. The fins!! oh boy, that fins... Now I know it was Inca Gold and Colonial White.
Harry P. Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 And to say W.O. Bentley was not in favor of the blower... He was against any modifications to the engine. That's why his "Bentley Boys" had to mount the supercharger up front like that, and not on the engine, as would usually would have been done (like the Mercedes blown K cars).
spencer1984 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Don't know how I missed this one when it was first posted, but I'm glad it came back up to the top - that's some beautiful work you've done!

Bugatti insisted on a solid, straight front axle, and only grudgingly allowed a minor modification.
Agent G Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I don't know how I missed this all this time. That's one of my favorite cars and you certainly did it justice Harry.Good job sir.G
CFMgarage Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 This is gorgeous. I'm not a huge fan of old-olddd cars but this is so phenomenally clean. With a nice diorama backdrop, it'd be easily mistaken for a 1:1.
