DumpyDan Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I bought this last year at NNL East in New Jersey. It was a built-up (badly) the good thing was it was painted, there was very little damage to the body, I disassembled the VW and looked at it for a couple months deciding what to do to it. The VW is mostly stock, just lowered and new wheels (Pegasus gold wheels) and made the rack on the back and roof.
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) Nice model. Excellent stance and wheel choice, and I love your wood parts. The pop-out windshield looks great too. It's definitely a Type-2, as everything built on the bus platform is. It's also known as a single-cab pickup (they built a crew-cab too) and by various other nicknames. stitchdup Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Sweet Vdub, I've got one of the van to build at some point. Hope I do as nice as this
Greg Pugh Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Like Bill said, it's a Type 2, known as a Single Cab, sometimes called a "Scab" in the VW community.
christian-w Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 The rims are great on the bus. If you want to be correct, it's a Type 2 T1 - T1 for the first Generation
