Well, if you're going to do something like that, you damm better be sure to get your trajectory figured right, 'cause you're not going to get a second chance.

I bet the rush is pretty spectacular as you approach the sheer wall, and I'd probably pass out from relief IF I made it through the hole.

I kinda have to admire someone who is either so fearless, or so incredibly capable of managing their fear.

I don't think I could do it if somebody had a gun to my head.

Just shoot me.

I question whether that's real or photo shopped? Going through the rock opening just does look right to me. I don't know why? If it is real, the guy has got more money then sence as they say. It looks like a fairly costly stunt. And for what?

And for what?

For what do people drive racing cars, go into space, climb mountains, or deep-sea dive? Why learn to fly a plane if you're not going to be a commercial pilot? Why learn to play a musical instrument if you're not a professional musician? Why build model cars?

I think it looks "fake" because of the new HD and 3D cameras. The details are MUCH more defined now. I know it's a killer rush. There's such an incredible rush when I line up on the starting line, rev the motor up to 2500 rpms, wait for the yellow light on the tree, release the line lock while nailing the throttle. I ccan't imagine the feel of free falling, then flying through a 15 foot opening in a cliff. I'd shake the dudes hand.

It's definitely not fake. And Photoshop doesn't do this kind of stuff. There are programs that do, but it's not all Photoshop.

Think about putting your flat hand out of a car window on the freeway, how touchy it is to any direction you move it in. Now imagine having webbed fingers. These guys just have to twitch their toes to change their course. After making hundreds of jumps, i don't doubt it's fairly easy to be able to accurately control their trajectory. I mean it's still absolutely insane, but I don't see why they'd fake this.

I think a lot of these guys are pretty much ready to die every time they jump. This isn't a sport for people with 401k's and retirement in mind.

Certifiably SANE!!!! Who hasn't had a dream where they could fly or wanted to fly.

With the proper training I would do that in a heartbeat.

Their's a little saying a co-worker of mine used to say " If your born to drown you'll never hang"

Sure the guy has stones!!!! I can tell you this for a fact, there was allot of engineering that went into that stunt, That was not a wet finger job

I have a glider pilots license, and hundreds of hours in unpowered flight. It's real, and quite possible. I've seen gliders in competition aim for an X on the runway, and miss it by inches, and they are a heck of a lot larger than this fellow. I wasn't that good, missing by a few feet. A wing suit would be more controllable in those circumstances due to the fact that it would react quicker. The only issue would be that he would need to plan his descent a LONG time in advance.

Another adrenaline junkie's 15 minutes of fame before he becomes bug splatter on mother natures windshield.

While amazing to watch, it's like the skate boarders jumping on railings, you're just waiting for the inevitable crash.

Wild. Definitely no margin for error. . There was a lot of planning that went into this. The two test jumps were a lot like siting a rifle. Still so many things can go wrong.
