Drake69 Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 Thanks all! I painted the rear quarter vents that I missed before, so I'll put up a couple more pix when I get a free moment. Appreciate the comments!
kruleworld Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 This is the Round 2 kit which is a copy of the Aoshima kit, the difference being this is a snap-together. The Aoshima has more detailing and better definition of parts, but this is a decent effort overall. Thanks! Actually, it's the Polar lights kit, which Round 2 now owns. the Aoshima version is different (available from AMT as BTTF#2) it has a different (non-delorean) chassis. Nicely done Drake. it's nice to see one with good details.
christian-w Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) This is very good, that the body has the look of stainless steal out of the box! Never thought about that. Aoshima did a good job on this. Your details are pretty good. It looks great and the presentation is also very nice. Well done! Edited June 8, 2015 by christian-w
khier Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) The stainless steel effect are fantastic. How did you do it? Brush?? Edited March 20, 2015 by khier
KeithJackson Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Looks great. Has anyone ever made the version using the Mr. Fusion?
Drake69 Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 The stainless steel effect are fantastic. How did you do it? Brush?? Nope. The model comes straight out of the box with that color and texture. I think it's the coolest effect for a non-painted model car out there. Looks great. Has anyone ever made the version using the Mr. Fusion? Oh I'm sure they have. I have another one I'm planning to make that way anyway! Thanks again everyone!
misterNNL Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 The real cars are so extremely rare and seldom seen. The exception to that was at the famous Woodward Blvd dream cruise a few years back when I got to see over 20 of them all cruising down Woodward two by two all with their doors in the open position. What a visal gearhaed treat that was!
christian-w Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Looks great. Has anyone ever made the version using the Mr. Fusion? Sure But "only" the old AMT kit of Part #2 Dude, I was half that old when I built this thing....
