Art Anderson Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Life sized plastic model kit of a Motorcycle? https://autos.yahoo.com/news/life-sized-motorcycle-model-kit-160035036.html
Fabrux Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 You would think that with a 1:1 scale plastic model, they could make it not look so much like plastic.
unclescott58 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I'll be passing on this one. True it's less expensive than a real bike. But, it looks it. Plus, I don't have a shelf big enough to display it. Scott
Eshaver Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 For the model builders with Obsessive compulsive disorder perhaps ?
StevenGuthmiller Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 What's next, A 1:1 '57 Chevy to sit in your driveway? Steve
Mikevango Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I think it's kind of neat. Maybe if I was a old rich guy I might buy one. I know there are many guys here that could make that look a hundred times more realistic than the one in the story.
Snake45 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I've got some nice 1:1 scale guns--Walther P.38 and Smith & Wesson M29 .44 Magnum. There was a whole series of these from Japan 30 or 40 years ago. I wish I'd bought more of them when they were available.
Chuck Most Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 You would think that with a 1:1 scale plastic model, they could make it not look so much like plastic. That's true, but I think it actually be less cool looking if it were more realistic. For me, the "big model" look it has is what makes it work.
Harry P. Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I guess it would make a cool display piece if you had a "man cave" big enough... but other than that, I don't see any point to it.
Quick GMC Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I think it's great for what Harry said. next to the jukebox or pool table, or as a cheap display somewhere.
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Comes with a sack of life-sized plastic nads.
