  2. I don't know if it will help to keep it there but yes, a satin clear. Once it's inside the body, it should be safe from harm. Maybe it all peels off in a few days and I throw it against the wall. I dunno, Len. I took a chance. If I have to strip it, it probably won't take much. 🥴
  3. I agree with Geno, a great likeness to the Beverly Hills Cop ride. Excellent Weathering, well done Eran.
  4. Hello all. I am missing the body support from the MPC Connie Kalita 1972 Funny car kit. If anyone has a spare please message me. Thank you. Jersee Jerry 55
  5. There's a traffic signal where a side street meets up to the main 2 lane street. It turned red at 6 AM and I was the only car there. Coming back it did it again. Couple hours later I came through there and it happened again. The next morning it happened again so I emailed the "Transportation Maintenance Manager" and he replied right away and said he'd send a crew to have a look. Next day he told me the pedestrian button was stuck on so it kept sending a signal telling the light to change. He thanked me for bringing the problem to attention. Pleased at the quick response from all of them to fix this.
  6. Nice save there Racine, that colour looks great. Well done.

  11. Very nice build that brought back lots of memories for me. When I worked for Chrysler, I had one of these as my company vehicle. For the time, it was unbelievably quick, and even with a Sure Grip rear axle, the rear tires broke loose, even when going from first to second gear at full throttle. Around town, it wasn't too easy on gas, but on the Interstate, it would get 24-26 mpg. Only got to drive it for about six weeks before it was replaced by a 1978 Dodge Ramcharger with a 440, but that's another story. A.J.
  12. There is an ipms show anually I believe. I think it has already been held for this year. https://ipmswinnipeg.ca/
  13. Awesome build!
  14. Well done Michelle, your LH Torana SS Hatchback looks great. I once owned an LX Torana SL/R.
  15. Very nice.
  16. Wow, this is looking great. Nice upgrades in the engine bay and that color looks fabulous on it.👍😎
  17. I would say mine is the 1984 Corvette. I spent all of 82, and a bit of 83 waiting on the 30th anniversary 1983 Corvette to debut. I even purchased a magazine in early 1983 devoted to the all-new 1983 Corvette. Unfortunately, GM had enough setbacks to push the release date too close to the 1984 order window, the 1983 Corvette would not be a thing. This also gave GM a chance to decide to scratch the base 15" wheel before the all-new Corvette hit showrooms. 40ish cars were built for 1983 but never sold to the public. Only one 1983 Corvette still exists and is on display at the Corvette Museum. 1984 marked the only year Cross Fire Injection would exist in a C4 Corvette. It was a lousy system that needed to die a horrible death, but the air intake on the C4 was well engineered. It took fresh air from duct work molded into the clamshell hood. Today I have a few 84-85 C4 model kits in various sizes, and the same magazine devoted to the all-new 1983 Corvette. I have owned many fast American and Australian cars, but never a C4 Corvette. I test drove one once and hated how low the seating position and the entering and exiting thing was a pain. But I still love the cars for what they were.
  18. Good job with the rebuild of this kit. Always great to see an older model being saved and given a second life! Bart
  19. I'm hoping this gets fixed for the '64 Comet, because there are differences between the inner fenders of the '64-65 and the '66-up cars. The main one, which Moebius carried over to the '65 Comet, was the location of the battery (the earlier cars have them mounted width-wise, while the later cars have them mounted lengthwise).
  20. anyone discard molded styrene seat and a. make cushions out of miliput or similar 2 part putty? or b. carve from pink xps or similar foam? seems like either would eliminate adding unnecessary thickness and/ or joints details at the edges.

  22. That is an excellent build. The detailing is superb.
  23. And yes, I enjoy scratch building K valves. Does anyone know if there is a resin one available? You do a great job, with them! They are tedious to build, but they're a detail worth doing correctly. I have a mold Don Fahrni and I made forty years ago, or so. It's still viable, but even using nail resin, it sometimes takes a couple of tries to get a good one. It's such a small, detailed cavity, it's difficult to get resin in all the places it needs to be.
