Psychographic
Follow if you will, the transformation of a Weird-Oh's digger kit into something somewhat unrecognizable from the original for a contest on another board We start this journey by narrowing the body about 1.5", while we're cutting, let's take the V8 and cut it in half. Now just to reassemble it as a straight eight and for good measure, lets make some intake manifolds and a pair of big honkin' blowers. The rear suspension is an unknown parts box find. The top to the body is fabbed up along with alternator, bracket, exhaust, fuel pump, distributor, oil lines, and some pulleys. Also what appears to be a roll cage is a hint at where I'm going with this build. No it is NOT a rollcage. Dr. Cranky
i am definitely keeping an eye on this one. Love the way it is turning out. Can't wait to see it with paint on.
Psychographic
A Hawker Typhoon fuselage is grafted to the body. I needed to make the T-bucket a little taller to fit fuselage. I modified the tail wings to fit as the main wings on the body.
Junkman
I say. I say. I have an old medicine cabinet this thing would fit perfectly into once it's finished.
Psychographic
The tail was shortened both in height and length to fit the body. For the tail wings, it just looked too corny using an airplane style wing, so I made some old top fuel style wings. I've also started on the front and rear suspension, along with new rear tires. Psychographic
I made a functional hood. A shot with it open. Cleaned up the opening for the exhaust. You can also see the first clear wheel is almost done. I also made a sight for in front of the canopy.

Psychographic
Into the body shop. In primer, As the rivets on the plane parts seemed out of scale for this build, I sanded them all off. Now it was time to add them back, but of course in an exaggerated size.
