vintagedragfan
My wife built her first model ever! we are headed to a show in Little Rock this week end, they have a beginners class, so she decided to jump in on the fun, how cool is that? she seen this 40 ford sedan delivery at a show we was at in Febuary and said that was the one she wanted to try and build, she did all of the work to it, I did coach her as she went on how to do some things to make it easier, I did make the decals for her and she put them on, I did mix the paint and clear, but she painted it, it has corvette wheels, real black leather on the inside and a real wood floor, she put pro tech guages in the dash, scale master dist. with purple wires, DuPont Chromasystem B/C paint, watcha think fella's? gbdolfans
Beautiful job!!!! Great paint job with the two-tone.Did she come up with the color scheme or follow the one at the show. Ask her if she will teach me how to get this nice a build. We need more wives, girlfriends daughters,etc... in the hobby. Mine started doing the Star Wars scene with Luke and Yoda in the cave. She has no experience in models, but, has a lot of artistic talent.Watercolors, painting with oils and acrylics,etc... She just liked the idea of weathering it and likes Yoda. The hardest part will be dealing with the seams on the figures.

Kaleb
Hey bill, my wife and I will be there as well. Great job on the car, I like the stand it really brings it out. And I'm sure glad I'm not in the novice lol I took home first place last year I don't think I would do as good if she had been there. Which moving up a class don't help either. I'm bringing my 1:12 mustang and a few cars, I can't wait to see what comes sat. Good luck at the show. I showed my wife lol. My wife will be entering her first model too Edited April 19, 2012 by Kaleb
