BHarrison Posted August 16, 2010 Share Posted August 16, 2010 This is a model of a 1933 Speedstar Coupe.These bodies were made famous by Alloway's Rod Shop and produced by Rat's Glass here in East TN. I used a Resin 33 Ford salt flat car to build it. It uses an Aluminum drop beam front end, has aluminum coil overs all the way around and is painted with House of Kolor paint. One question: to my 61 yr. old eyes it looks like the top of the front coils/shocks are not attached to anything. Are there pins that stick out behind the grille shell that I can't see? Excellent work! Sam The shock mounts come through the body work very simply on these cars. They were a simple little shiny shock stud in most cases. It makes the 90 degree bend bend the shock eyes.
