Once I realized that Bill meant the turn of the 21st century and Not the 20th, his post lost some of it's humor!

What is your favorite sports car?
JollySipper replied to WillyBilly's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My favorites are pretty easy for me to choose! There's several that I really like, but two stand out for me....... The Mitsu 3000GT and the Acura NSX! Neither car was anything really overly powerful, but the point was the handling....... -
Now, this is scary...

AI has self-preservation 'instincts', for lack of a better word. I guess it has had that since video games were invented! That means it is willing to sacrifice something (people included!) to keep from being shut down......... They have found this out through running scenarios with it........ -
One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is ebay gift cards..... It's an easy way to pay for stuff without worrying about your info getting out! I've used them several times, and it's quite handy...... I get them at the local drugstore.........

Yes, definitely look at sellers ratings! I generally won't buy from anyone with less than about a 98%........ Also, it might be just me who does this, but I try to buy kits from someone who deals mostly in model stuff. Sellers like consignment shops might get one kit in a month/year whatever and don't really know much about them. A seller that deals mostly in model stuff will know more about what they have......

What did you see on the road today?
JollySipper replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nah, he bought that to pull a 40' lowboy tandem trailer to haul his push mower on............. -
Rifle grooves in a barrel cause the bullet to spin on exit, aiding in accuracy..........

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?
JollySipper replied to Tim W. SoCal's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Emmett got to meet his first deer this evening........ He smelled it long before he saw it! He knew it wasn't a dog right off.... Just kinda wagged at it, but was still being cautious. He's a really good dog........ -
Is it this one, Larry man? I saw it in the wanted section previously, but it appears it was moved to Q n A............

Here's one I heard a long time ago......... If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be Tough! -

Kinda like something Carl said here recently...... "Mind over matter doesn't always work". -
I use a couple/three different satin blacks, but the 'oleum product gets used the most..... What I usually try to do to make the frames and suspensions look more realistic is to dry-brush a bit of silver paint on the black part, trying to pick out and highlight certain areas. This is the front subframe for a BMW 2002, you can see I've kinda brushed the very edges with the silver.....

Emmett does that on occasion with one of his chew bones.... When it's time to go inside, I'll tell him,"Emmett, get your toy!" and he picks it right up and brings it in.......
