Wires! ...even better. As a kid I remember the chap along the road, had a Racing Green 3.8, with matching green painted wide Borrani wire wheels, and no bumpers. Always a favourite model.

Nice model !! ....but the kit I bought, had a slight twist to the body and the hood wouldn't fit square, otherwise a good release by Revell

After seeing the undersides, I'm sure I've seen the start of this build elsewhere. Great model, and liking the replaced front wings/door too. I once owned a red 340 Duster many moons ago - wish I still had it now !

Yes, I'm liking this thread too - and giving it a mild hot rod rake, improves the stance. Excellent start !

Really good looking rod - think I'm going to steal your ideas ! -
I've had this on my workbench for almost a year - and when I've finished it, I'm still keeping it in primer. It works for me.

Great colour. Limefire Green was a popular colour way 30 years ago, and always a great colour to my eyes. I have three '32's started, and looking forward to more updates. -
I have a personal liking of the now defunct Plymouth brand. .Great model, and never seen a wagon before

I wish this model was still available - does it come with disc wheels or wires ???

Hello Ray - when he built the models in the photos he was 15 - he is now a 33 year old Nuclear Engineer. .....how time flies ! He still builds 1/25th scale, but time is at a premium for him at the moment.
-
Ahhhh... Airccooled VeeDubs - built a few 1.1 scale beetles in my time. Here's one I took from stock to rod - then sold it a year ago.

The Granada wasn't a car I liked when it was new - but isn't it funny how, with time, they grow from ugly ducklings into swans ??
-
Sonny Quazi ...that's a name from the past ! When I used to show my models at the Hot Rod Supernationals at Knebworth there were quite a few of your models on the tables, or am I mistaken ???

.....and to think I put it up for sale on Ebay a year ago for £50 ($78) - but no takers. Thank goodness it didn't go.

I've been building kits for years - but so has my son. Here are a couple of shots of his vehicles.
-
....I've just bought that same kit through Ebay - just this week, and looking forward to my build. I particular like the smoothie chrome steel wheels. Nice !
-
....Thought I would show you my big scale Monogram '32 Roadster. I built this about 18 years ago when it was the fashion to paint rods in pastel colours. I also converted the steering to UK right hand drive.....and it still survives up in my 'man cave' loft room. .

Hi there Dan. I live on the sunny borders of North Yorkshire and County Durham. We don't tell the Londoners about our beautiful countryside - because they'd be up here buying up all the property !!! PappyD - still wish I had my Duster - but sold it to a chap who I thought was as passionate about it as me - but just pulled the 340 motor for his stock car. ?? My other US cars were a '79 Camaro and '69 Mustang Fastback.

Hello Guys ! I have at least 50 started models, which I'll have a go at finishing this winter. Is that a Plymouth Duster there - PappyD ? I used to have a '74 - for real, red too - but back in the 80's I'm looking forward to the MPC Dodge Demon due out soon to reproduce a replica of mine. (well, it did have the same bodyshell).

Hi Guys - I've been building Rods and Customs since the fifties - when '57 Chevvies were brand new ! It started with a 1/32nd Scale Revell Mercury Montclair (still one of my favourite cars), then the Chrysler New Yorker, Mk1 Lincoln Continental and Buick Riviera (echo's of Broderick Crawford and 'Highway Patrol'). I have since built hundreds of AMT, Johan, MPC, Monogram and various others between building 1.1 scale cars.
