  1. Aloha Gregg and Happy Birthday from" The Great State of Colorado"! (Well, we think so.) Richard
  2. Thank you for showing some of your dad's things. I had the honor of shaking J.F.K.'s hand when he was running for president at a gathering at a sports park in Norfolk, Virginia. A lot of things over the years you tend to forget, but never that moment. Thanks again. P.S. Started building model cars in 1958 ( before that it was planes and ships). Wish I had kept all my old magazines too. I'm glad you are keeping your fathers keepsakes. Richard
  3. Thanks for the pics. Looks like you guys have a lot of fun while building cool cars. Richard P.S. Love the bug van.
  4. It was a 1959 Mercury convertible that I built(put together) in 1958. I didn't know then that it was the start of a hobby that I would be in half a century later. Where have the years (and models) gone? Richard
  5. Pastors are just full of information. Ours told us that those of us with a computer are in the top 3% of the world. We are truly blessed to be able to talk to each other. Happy Thanksgiving and may God Bless. Richard
  6. They are all winners. Looked at all of them a few times. Looks like everyone had way too much fun. Richard
  7. My prayers are with the family. Met Bob a few times back in the 90's at the show at the Elks club in Puyallup. When I found out he was going to be in K.C. in June, I had to go. I am so glad I was able to see Bob again. I think I am now going into my hobby room and cry for awhile. I love you Bob and will miss you . P.S. Hope there is a good hobbyshop for you in Heaven. Melt some plastic for us. Richard
  8. Sorry to see this series of boxes end. I can truthfully say that they have been DOUBLE fun. Richard
  9. Put them in a glass case with the boxes as a back drop and enjoy for the rest of time. Too much of the past is lost already(I know). Richard
  10. I think it also comes with a pair of fuzzy dice. How cool is that?
  11. The news tonight said we hit 80 today with a high somewhere in the 40's tomorrow with rain and or you know what. It was so windy this afternoon that someone in Kansas called to tell me that they had my newspaper.
  12. My stash is good until the 24th century at least. Always wondered why I tryed hard to hold on to them. Now I see . Maybe we should all go buy some spare glue and paint before it goes sky high too.
  13. It was not only coming down, but coming down sideways. That is what makes the Rockies so much fun. The weather people all drink here. Richard
  14. I live in the Springs. This was just another normal day. Happy Mayday by the way. Richard
  15. My son(in his 30's) bought me one a few years back and I made a mistake of telling him how cool it looked. After that whenever any special time came up there was another one. All the family then thought I loved them,so you know what happened then. Well, then I started finding ones that hadn't been bought for me. Lucky for me and my lack of space, my grandson(who is eight) loves them also. He thinks grandpa is so cool and loves it when one of my Hot Wheels rolls his way. He knows my collection better than I do. Sometimes I buy two of the same car and put them around my display. One day he will come in and inform me that I happen to have two of the same one. Yes, one goes home with him. I am in my 60's but this has become a fun thing for three generations. Can't beat that. Glad to see another family having fun. Richard
  16. Thank you for once again taking us to one of your meetings. This one was a blast. Really enjoyed the "worst model" section. There was a little history going on. Richard
  17. Hey Billy. Gregg has you covered. He puts the number and a month both on the covers. The January issue is #129.
  18. Wow! Everytime you do one of these it is better than the last one. I love this one. Your posts have become my favorites.
  19. Go Gregg Go. I see that Luke'57 is willing to do it and I am willing to buy the issue with his pictures(I buy every issue anyway). Would love to have some of his box art on paper. Richard
  20. I wish all of your boxes were for real. They all bring a smile to my face. Keep them coming.
  21. I was going to tell you how cool that looks, but I have to go find something to wipe the drool off my screen instead. Richard
  22. Anything that will play on a turntable. Still living in the 50's and 60's. ROCK ON! Richard
  23. Well, If I am wrong (as is usual) I will have plenty of company this time. MODEL
