  1. Did you guys know that Lisa Kelly has her own web site? http://www.thelisakelly.com/ There's some pics. of her truck on it. This is the best side view of her truck that I've found to date. Based on this, I'm thinking it's a W-900B but if I'm wrong someone better tell me before I buy resin.
  2. Big Foot is a Western Star 6900. I'm in southern Quebec near the Vermont border but as the New England saying goes, "I can't get there from here". At least not easily. 6 hours or so.
  3. Season 2 of American Loggers started airing in Canada on Monday. I see that Wayne was driving Eldon's tridem....
  4. It's not quite that bad. We get what you get but later. IIRC, I saw the season finale for the second season of American Loggers when I was recovering from NNL East in my hotel room at the Ramada in Wayne, NJ. I "think" Discovery Channel Canada will air it here this summer.
  5. Ya see, you're at least a season ahead of me. Only Season 1 has aired in Canada. You've just finished Season 2? Or worse, Season 3?
  6. Am I the only one interested in building some of their trucks in scale? I'm kinda partial to Eldon's Western Star tridem. I know I can get Jameston of Scale Finishes on board for Pelletier purple and blue. Anyone interested in helping with the decals?
  7. BTW guys, Jameston at Scale Finishes now has Carlisle Blue available for purchase.
  8. I honestly can't spot a W-900B from a W-900L but if someone can tell me which I need for my project, I'll gladly order it from you. All I need is a price and where do I send the money.
  9. I sorta figured that you'd wanna build "Mistress". I'm a HUGE fan of "Wrecked" and it's mostly responsible for getting me back into heavy truck models. I'd recommend Plaskit's KW T-800 cab conversion for it and the RoG Pete wrecker for the chassis, just to save your self all the work required to build a quad axle chassis. IIRC, Mistress is a Miller Industries 60 or 70 ton rotator and you're on your own for that. The RoG Pete wrecker might be close enough to work but good luck finding one for a decent price. Me? I wanna build a NRC 80 ton sliding rotator, probably on a Western Star 6900HD 5 axle twin steer chassis. FWIW, both NRC and Plaskit are within an hour's drive of home for me.
  10. EXACTLY like that. You can expect an order from me shortly.
  11. I've always done that with numbers. I hate to tell ya but Lisa is married to another Carlisle employee. Not a driver if that matters. Your comment on the resin W-900b has got me wondering if there's two different ones available. The one by GW doesn't come with a sleeper yet you mentioned an integral sleeper. I figure you might know something that I don't as I'm a car modeler who's working on moving into scratchbuilding and heavy trucks.
  12. Cool! Any chance you can put Lisa's number (C-1608 IIRC) on the sheet? Can a W-900B be kitbashed from an AMT T-600 and a Revell W-900A or amd I better off buying the resin W-900B that's out there? How would you recommend tackling the tire chains? I've got an epsidoe or two of IRT recored on my computer and I'm going to see if I remember how to do a screen capature so that I/we can have better pics. of the various Carlisle trucks.
  13. I'm considering building Lisa's W-900B but my main problem is lack of Carlisle decals. Anyone know of a source?
  14. I don't recall ANY issues with the kit. Following Art's "suggestions" is another story.
  15. Without going into details, there's three Packards. A pair of RR's, a Cadillac and three or four Duesenbergs and they're all beautiful!
  16. The '72 Olds Viking Blue that I used is 1:1 automotive paint. That color and all the others that were used on the '72 Olds plus WAY more are available from http://www.scalefinishes.com/ If Jameston doesn't have it, odds are he can mix it. I haven't stumped him yet and I've made some pretty oddball requests (CN Orange, '53 Studebaker colors among others). All his paint is airbrush only and please take all the necessary precautions (resperator, chemical proof gloves and a spray booth). Thank you all for the kind words on my build.
  17. John - More than one person told me that was pretty. Bill - Thank you.
  18. I finished this last week at this time just in time for NNL East. Paint is Viking Blue from Scale Finishes.
  19. Thanks and this one does. I don't recall about the earlier ones like the Ferrari America (?).
