for all intents this is done...it is 1/16th scale. Dodge front seats, 57 Corvette grill. custom tail light.Hand made headlights out of a pen and donut box, hand-cut windows out of donut box, scratch built pick up box.
It is indeed legos,,,,,,,,very solid and easy to do....few different brands oof gray primer finish it off....the base is one sheet of plastic. I still need more legos to finish the loft
got the 57 vette this morning.....................stripped out the grill for this and the door handles,,,,,both are bolt in parts.....

I will now mount some pins on the back of the grill to bring it out so the front edge matches the front edge of the hood..the curve of the grill is the same as the Mustang hood. Well planned :ugeek: It is going to look aggressive...................
I have been waiting for some parts for this build..I need to make up the lights yet....I got a 1 16th scale vette on ebay for $5.00 and it has the correct side pipes I want for this. I will be digging this back out shortly to get some more done on it....
We were with a name brand for years. At first the quoted rates did not come about and they crept up month after month...We kept complaining and there was always excuses....We were dealing face to face with the company agent but he seemed to never know what the company actually was charging us or could give a straight answer. After 4 years the rates quadrupled so we contacted Flo and got insurance for 1/4 or what we were paying.......now we can again afford to drive We will double check rates again in a year......just to make sure.
Thanks for the support and comments
Here is the tail light set up.....all custom built light, bumper and valance.....................I don't have a bumper so I had to make one up
The interior is getting close,,,the rear seats have been reworked to match the new high back bucket seats...........wheels painted and doors are being worked on.
I have been thinking gloss red wheels,,,yes those that are on it now and a neat interior,,,maybe a 66 Thunderbird rear seat (the wrap around type) and some high back buckets in front....The paint is almost done,,,,,just going to add a little rust here and there, Thanks for the comments I was not sure of the paint but now I am fine with it.
This was a glue bomb...........Added pick up bed......interior still has room for the jump seats.....dropping it in the weeds and rebuilt the front pillars that were missing.......... Not sure if it is going to stay this way.....Have to look at it a lot.
The frame is scratch built....I made the frame rails up with 3 layers of.40 plastic. Take a look at the first pictures in the posting.....I made my own drawings for the frame and body and worked from them.
rear end put together..................
radiator shell is put together,,,,,the lights are my own castings
removable roof panel is done................
The engine that is there is temporary......I will be working with a different casting for the final engine....from the same mold so it is the same type of engine.
I started the engine yesterday. It is one of my own castings that is very plain. For this build it will be just fine. I assembled it, drilled out the distributor and plugs locations on the head.
Wisconsin has a collector plate...it is blue with white lettering,,,,,it is issued to the person and not the car......it does not require renewal..........
Thanks Danno
I built up a blower and valve cover for the hemis I am going to be casting...The gears are from old printers,,,the belts(not shown) are from old scanners, and I also used parts from a ball point.
