Scale I Build

  1. From what I recall the (originally Lindberg) '53 Ford Victoria is a quality kit, but it doesn't exactly excite the masses. Coming later this year:
  2. By chance does anyone happen to have an AMT '65 Chevy II Hardtop "Craftsman" kit, and be willing to share some pictures of the contents? With Moebius' upcoming '64/'65 Chevy II Sedans, I thought it might be a good time to look over and discuss the good, bad, and ugly regarding the vintage AMT kit, which is never to return. I appears AMT captured the body shape quite well...: ...but the chassis is promo style, with molded in everything and an engine 'plate' insert:
  3. Built many years ago 1970's
  4. I got lucky and scored one of these off eBay for a decent price. The chrome is in terrible shape and it's missing a tail light. Thankfully I've got 3 of the convertible version of this kit laying around and can get what I need for it. I bought this with the intention of cutting the hood out of the body to reveal the engine compartment. I'm going to completely swap the promo chassis/engine plate for one of my kit chassis. The more I think about this, the worse of an idea I think it is. What would you do?
  5. Is there a hard top available for this kit? Or do I need to buy an entire resin body just to get one? I would rather just have a roof piece if possible.
