This is the Don Garlits' Swamp Rat VI from 1964. It's the old AMT 1/24 kit with the body moulded in clear plastic, painted with Tamiya Gloss Black spraypaint. I added some basic fuel lines and wiring to the otherwise stock kit.

Nice build, this is one of my favorite kits of all time (mostly as a parts kit)...if you ever get the chance to go to Garlits' Museum of Drag racing in Ocala (only an hour  drive north of Orlando), do it. I lived in Napier, on Harold Holt Ave. in the mid '70s, lovely place. -RRR
