maltsr Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 This is the Don Garlits' Swamp Rat VI from 1964. It's the old AMT 1/24 kit with the body moulded in clear plastic, painted with Tamiya Gloss Black spraypaint. I added some basic fuel lines and wiring to the otherwise stock kit.
Snake45 Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Very nice, very clean build! Well done and model on!
Bainford Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Very cool. Big's diggers always looked so sinister. Nice build.
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 (edited) Nice build, this is one of my favorite kits of all time (mostly as a parts kit)...if you ever get the chance to go to Garlits' Museum of Drag racing in Ocala (only an hour drive north of Orlando), do it. I lived in Napier, on Harold Holt Ave. in the mid '70s, lovely place. -RRR Edited June 20, 2019 by Rocking Rodney Rat
