Alba Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 I started this model 8 years ago as documented in this thread: I finally just wrapped it up after having it kicking around it its box all this time. Definitely not the best job ever but all things considered I’m pretty happy. I even made a small mod by cutting the front grille so that the chrome hood bar is actually attached to the hood rather than one piece with the grille and bumper. Was kind of a pain but gives me peace of mind haha!
TransAmMike Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Thats beautiful, love the red. I have to say this......I find it interesting how on all 57 Chevy models the hoods don't fit no matter how hard you try to get them to.

I just re-purchased the Monogram 55 Street Machine and 56 Chevy - neither hood fits right. Love these old kits but man sometimes they’re a bit off fitment-wise.
jamesG Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Very nice. I am wondering though about the different wheels.
Bucky Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Cool build! Looks great! About the fitment issues...I once flung a nearly finished Revell '57 BelAir down the hallway because I just couldn't take it, anymore!! LoL (I was about 13 or 14. Probably in over my head with that kit.)
Alba Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 Thanks for the kind words! I could be wrong but the wheels may have come with the kit. Though it’s not on the box, this was sort of a 2n1 kit - one more stock with the fuel injection 283 and then how I built it.
doorsovdoon Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 That's a nice build. It's got that late 60's custom vibe about it.
espo Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Great looking build. This is the perfect color for this and I actually like the Carbs. poking thru the hood.
TransAmMike Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Again very sharp looking Rick. Looks like the windows have a grey tint. If so, what did you use?
