Pretty much completed the chassis and engine install. Had to mock up the body to make sure everything will fit together on the final assembly. Thanks to Joseph at Fireball on this beautiful EFI set up. Didn’t hook it up as per the web pics, but sometimes you have to improvise. Used ProTech line and fittings on everything. Also changed the scoop since its now EFI, and I really don't need to cover those carbs. Now to start the assembly of the interior, with safety harnesses, and then test fit the body one last time before it gets primed and painted. I might even try to fab up a window net.

I put the interior, roll bar, seats, and harness, together. Everything fit nice into the body. Laid down four coats of Tamiya Pearl Light Red. I only encountered one little hair on the roof that I removed and sanded between coats. Gonna let it sit for a week before I lay down the Tamiya clear coat.

Truly digging this build Brutal. You are pulling out all the stops at every point and the details have a "just right" appearance everywhere I look.

That color is going to be striking as well.

Just now joining the crowd watching this WIP. Very cool car Tom and amazing Swiss watch maker detailing that you’re doing on this one. I love the pic of the pink primer undercarriage with the black frame and all the eye candy details. I have always loved Tamiya’s Pearl light red but have only used it on a custom I once built, never thought of it for a drag car. Looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Thanks John. I really enjoy your super stock builds. I really enjoy building them myself. 
One thing I forgot to do was, paint the strip down the side of the car. It’s done now, but I really should have did that first, and saved on the masking big time. 
This color is one that isn’t a color I normally would do, but it’s close enough to the real car I saw.
