Miatatom Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 (edited) I finished this XKE on Christmas eve. It's a replica of one of my college professors car. His name was Keith Lee and he was our Nuclear Science professor. I bought my first motorcycle from him too, a 67 Honda 305 Scrambler. I got to ride in the XKE once and it was a thrill. I covered the red plastic with Createx white using it as a primer. Wound up with a little too much paint buildup. The primrose yellow and clear are from Scale Finishes. The spark plug wires are a little out of scale too. Edited December 29, 2022 by Miatatom 3
espo Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Always thought these were some of the most graceful looking cars and this model captures that look and the paint color looks great. Hope you at least shared a picture of this with your professor.

When he went for his interview at the college, he'd been working on the Jag and didn't even bother to change. His credentials spoke for themselves and he was hired on the spot. One of a kind.
Bainford Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Beautiful Jag, Tom. Nicely built, and looks great in that colour. Well done.

1959scudetto Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Very nice _E-type in primrose yellow - I plan to build mine in the same color.
70 Sting Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 So well done! Was watching a couple build videos on that kit… some challenging aspects for sure.
