mad mike Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Hello everyone, I'm back with another "cars and girls" diorama! When I started scratch building and collecting 1/8 model cars I did it because I wanted something for my figure collection to act as background. Several years later I've got some of those big cars and I'm finally taking pictures! Due to the size of 1/8 scale stuff it's hard to make a complete diorama like most of you guys here do, so for now I settled on creating smaller scenes. On the picture below there's OTs-14 (collectible figure of a "girls frontline" game character, comes fully painted and assembled) and an Eaglemoss partworks 1/8 Renault Alpine A110 taking the center. For the surroundings I made a concrete wall and used tiles from the hardware store as a paved road. The sky backdrop is a backlit photo print on polyester cloth and the trees are artificial bonsai. Hope you like the setup! 3
TarheelRick Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Very well-done diorama. Even though the figure is a bit cartoonish, she still adds believability to the overall scene. But will that suitcase fit inside the Renault; inquiring minds want to know.
TonyK Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Very nice looking car, girl, setting, and photography!
Tcoat Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 No way she is getting that suitcase in there! Besides judging by her current clothing she only needs a small overnight bag. 1
Bainford Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Cool scene. Impressive if she can manage to heel & toe double-clutch downshift with those heels?
charlie8575 Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 I like the idea of using tiles for the wall. Nice work. Charlie Larkin
