Mothersworry Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 Built from a mint, first issue original AMT kit. I used a combination of the original decals and Slixx decals from the Polar Lights Gas Ronda Mustang Funny Car. Finished in Ford Poppy Red with clear topcoat. Added some minor detailing. All chrome and metal finishes are Alclad. 6
M W Elky Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 That’s a really great job I like the way you closed off and smoothed out the grill and head light opening’s . Gas had some of the most beautiful looking mustangs . I displayed my amt & polar lights Gas Ronda stang’s together in building the covers vol# 28 you can really see the difference. I really like the exaggerated long front end of the amt kit . Let’s hope they make a 3-D scan for a reissue along with the 69 cougar funny car. So that everyone has a chance to build one. 2 ?for building a rare kit instead of hoarding it. Again a job well done.
Claude Thibodeau Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 HI! Very nice job, and the paint finish is spectacular. Bravo!

TonyK Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 So weird looking with that long nose but a great looking model! A very clean, sharp build.
tim boyd Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Very, very sharp build of a very cool funny car kit.... congrats. TB
stavanzer Posted Monday at 01:24 AM Posted Monday at 01:24 AM Folks will be searching for this build when the new kit hits the shelves. Yours is a Home Run build of this kit. Inspiration for many who want to build this kit.
Speedpro Posted Monday at 06:45 PM Posted Monday at 06:45 PM Outstanding Build! I also like that you filled and smooth the front end. Perfect paint and alclad application. That alclad can be tricky. Great pics too!
