I like how you took a simple kit and added all the missing details.

Beautiful paint and finish Pierre, well done !

Cheers

Thank you Bruce. Just a curbside but I tried my best to add realism to this basic 30 part kit.

There are no words to describe how absolutely beautiful and excellent this build really is. And to top it off this excellent paint job was delivered with a brush, a real brush, not an air brush. Pierre, you have done it again. Thank you for letting us mortals view your work. It is pure joy to look at.

Indeed my friend, done with a brush. It's at times challenging but when spraying is not an option we can only try to maximize results using plan B.

You build such beautiful models Pierre. This one is a beautiful gem. Always a pleasure to feast my eyes on your builds. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Mario. Exactly the way it feels looking at your builds, especially sitting in your very real looking photo setup & diorama.

That is an exceptional build.  A true work of art.

Were these kits originally intended to be slot cars?

Indeed Jeremy, slot car body and not much else and it was fun building it into a more realistic replica.

Thank you Daniel. I marvel at what you do with metal. I think it is safer for me to stick to styrene

I appreciate your kind words. You do marvelous work with styrene! I always enjoy what you're working on.

Thanks Bill. I'm following your's with great interest. I'm sure you'll come up with fresh ideas on how to dress it up.

Thanks for the feedback Dave. This kit is as basic as it gets and I am happy with the detailing additions. It was a fun process.

It's gorgeous, I can't believe it came from a monogram kit.

Thanks Atin. Really a slot car body and not much else but the shape is workable and the rest is just added detailing.

So, Pierre. What's next on the agenda?  And where will you be posting it? Inquiring minds need to know.

Hi Mark, next build will definitely be posted here on MCM but it will be a while as I plan to get back to the bench in October.

I have 2 candidates.  First is  the Revell 300 SLR from the '55 MM race converted to the Fangio configuration. I need to figure out a way to do a good silver though. Second option is to go for my first effort on a resin kit, possibly a fifties Ferrari from Fernando Pinto Modelos.
