Mach1revo Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Thanks for all the compliments guys!!! I had a blast building it and am glad you are enjoying it!!
mrknowetall Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Good Grief! That's just gorgeous! May I have it?
Jeff B Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Great color choices, including the slightly-darker interior color. And that horn emblem glistens! A great detail.
Dave Metzner Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Never would have thought to look at Tamiya Military colors for a car.. Great looking model!
W-409 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 So I believe you airbrushed that Tamiya paint on the Hudson? How did it work? What did you use to make the paint thinner? I've been planning on trying those Tamiya Acrylics with an airbrush, but I I haven't tried them yet... Anyway that's a Fantastic looking Hudson! The color fits perfectly on it, and your BMF work is super sharp. I also like the engine, it looks like it could be fired up any moment. This is one of the best Hudson Hornets that I've seen, congrats!
Mach1revo Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 W-409 i thin the Tamiya acrylics with regular lacquer thinner. Works and sprays great. The Tamiya paints are unique acrylics that can be thinned with everything from lacquer thinner to iso alcohol and their own x-20a thinner.
unclescott58 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Stunning Jason! A very nice build. As others have noted, the color is great. In fact, everything you did on this kit is great. Page 3 in comments in less than one day of posting. Should tell you something. Scott
D. Battista Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Excellent attention to detail..! Great looking Hudson..!!
Brett Barrow Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Yowsa, that is nice! BTW, the color known as "Sky" is a British WWII/50's airplane color. It is, in fact, green.
