kymdlr Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I built this one totally box stock. Paint is model master Grabber green with testors wet look clear. This was my first time polishing a model with a polishing kit and I think it turned out decent, besides a couple spots where i sanded through. I forgot the flat black strip of paint on the hood, ill get back to it at some point.
Harry P. Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 That looks very good, but the MUSTANG lettering on the trunk lid is green!
Dominik Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Like the color. Nice and clean built Ron. like harry said, the letters on the trunk lid are green, also your sidemarker
DynoMight Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Really sharp color for that Mustang! Awesome model!
unclescott58 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Grabber Green just doesn't grab me for some reason. But, beyond that you did a great job on this kit. It looks fantstic. Scott
Maxicoop Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Very nice lookin' Boss ..... and who doesn't like Mustang Bosses .... very cool build !!!
Guest Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Nice, but you missed the mold marks on the exhaust pipes.
vamach1 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Did the kit come with any engine compartment decals? Fred Cady did decals for every Ford engine (260, 289, 302, 351, 428, 429) and the caution fan ones too for that extra touch. Congrats on the clean build. The Magnum 500's look good and a black wash in the center cap would highlight the running horse in the middle. I hate mold lines too but I noticed something you rarely see - the paint markings on the leaf springs and rear end and you have to flip the model over too see them. Too bad the NOS shocks were black - a different color would really stand out. Check out this restored Boss 302: http://www.boss302.com/smf/index.php?topic=64188.0

Roadrunner Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I think this looks excellent, better than the way my stuff usually turns out.
kymdlr Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 Thank you all for the comments. After looking back at this thread, I have corrected a couple things that I noticed were off with the build. When I get a chance I will post updated pictures.
