Used to have neighbors with a Jeepster like the first one that was bought new by them. Finally had to stop driving it when the master cylinder gave up and no service parts could be found, even by somebody who knew Jeeps probably better than most in the entire midwest!

My "other" toy is a 1980 Jeep CJ-7. It's grown up a bit over the years, but the interior is still pretty stock.

Here are some pics (not quite as nice as Tom's). Day One, after a wash:

Here's the "big" transformation (4" lift, 33" Swampers, painted the hardtop and graphics on the side):

And here we are after lots of fun over the years (just finished the new front bumper, rear bumper/tire carrier, and added nerf bars:

I started building a tribute model of it, and got busy with other things. Since then, I've acquired the right wheels and tires, and will be getting back to it shortly (with a better camera, too).

There's a Craigslist ad that I'm tempted to answer nearby us....

$100 for a rusty Jeep FC pickup, running and yard driving...

I dunno.. when they say rusty... an FC really knows how to rust!

I think most Jeep pickup's had rust installed at the factory. Had to find a nice one in the salt belt.

We used to say Fiats started rusting on the drawing board!

LOL!! The previous owners couldn't figure out how to tighten the bolts for the A/C unit - hence the 2x4, I suppose. I tightened 'em up a few minutes later, and eventually removed the A/C altogether - the cheesy cupholder is gone, too. I still have the roll of electrical tape, though. ;):D

I've seen the pictures of it.... Fist sized holes in the cab floor, about.... uh, ten or so?

Miles the floor can be patched easily with flat metal pieces. But the upper and outer body is where you need to look at.

Had an FC150 to run around the yard in years ago.............WAY too rusty to be used on the road, but around the shop and in the woods it was fun, until you hit a good sized bump, then, after the dust cleared, the old girl was usually about 20 pounds lighter! Rust CITY!
