This is very sad.

Another great show ending.

This is really the show that started the entire NNL revolution of non-competitive model show all over the world. Some members of the North Coast Automotive Modelers club have been helping run this event for over 35 years  of it's existence. The NNL has/will leave a lasting legacy of returning the fun to model building.

I received notice yesterday that this October will also be the last ever John Carlisle collector's toy show . John is now in his 80's and has had some health problems so if you go for the toy show this is also the end of that tradition.

I also enjoyed this venue @Toledo. Made new friends I normally would not have met otherwise.

I already have my room booked and a few of us will be in on Friday afternoon.

Many years ago we had a man named Bob Gaudard in Group 25 Model Car Builders Club. Bob Loved Pullers, also hot rods, drag cars, the usual. Bob couldn't find a set of puller tires he likes, so he carved his own, really. Bob also preferred to make his own detail parts rather than buy them. The exception is the Ross Gibson Resin Engine he used, one of Ross' first engines. (photographs taken through a plastic case) I am bring this El Camino Insanity to the NNL Nationals as a tribute to Bob and Ross. Gone but never forgotten...
