In 1966 Pontiac made a prototype Grand Prix pickup, I saw it at Good Guys car show in Scottsdale a few years ago.

Love the work on this, nice save in the twist. I noticed the rear corners of the hood don't quite match up to the cowl (rounded off a bit)...not picking on your work, just mentioning in case you haven't noticed it.

What I found inspiring were the design elements, google moal and aerocoupe, they put a dual supercharged Y-block in that '36 in addition to some design choices I found intriguing. I don't care about the price tag that other people are paying to have their dream cars built, I like seeing how their dreams have been executed...and maybe I might borrow some ideas from some talented artists.

Try looking for promos of these bodies then use the hardtop kits for the frames and other goodies.

Have a look at www.moal.com , take a long look at a coachbuilder that was featured at Pebble Beach. Be sure to check out their torsion sprung deuce chassis also.

Yup, that's what was listed in the file I referenced. I've worked on a couple of those but literally hundreds of spreadbores.

Have you considered making those pesky hinges out of brass or aluminum strip?

Dual carb 62s were factory Carter AFB, 283 & 327 had Rochester 4bbl carbs that predated the spreadbore quadrajet carbs which appeared a few years later.

The front and rear wheel openings are fighting each other, possibly before the paint goes on this could get resolved...

Nice to see continued progress on this. I was once part of a club group build similar to these snowballs and it was a little frustrating waiting to see the completion which seemed like it wouldn't ever get done even though you finished your own part.

I have a suggestion if it's not too late. The grooves that you did so well on the pulleys should be painted silver due to how the fan belts tend to rub the paint off the metal. The rest of the details are great!

unless you're going old school which would most likely be 6mm plug wires but 24gage wire should do nicely.

The Scripps-Booth "Mosquito" is still produced with the "Roch-craft Q-barrel"...there's just some carbs that fuel injection can't kill. (if you decide to google any of the items in this post, let me know what you find...since I made that blarney up ....except for the Scripps-Booth...over 30 years ago.)

you could post a photo of the unsatisfying project here and ask for suggestions, someone will probly hit on the one thing your brain hasn't come up with and you can finish it up in no time.

Thanks Mike, it was mostly done over ten years ago then I got to looking at it and thought to myself that it needs...something else to make it look "finished". So I started partial disassembly and that's where it stalled, and a few moves later some additional parts got knocked off. I snapped the chassis back in and popped the wheels on so you guys could get an idea of it's potential. This project started because I had run out of fresh kits and started drawing on the box art of a kit I had picked up fo a couple bucks on clearance at a drugstore, the rest is kitbash history.

The case needs some lights on each shelf, some white LEDs in each corner of each shelf should work without taking up much room and you can run them from an old cell phone charger...everyone has one of those laying around, right? If not, you can usually find one at a thrift shop for a buck.

This is a wild arsed guess which is over 20 years old... I have a very vague recollection that the tires were from a Lancia kit, probly Fujimi. This project was started in the 80's.

odd you should mention Deora, I used the frame & interior platform in this bash. here are a few more new shots, it's in a rough condition due to being in a box for 3 or 4 house moves but someday it will arise better than before. Thanks for looking.

I will have to work on that, photo posted is a scan of a 20 year old photo. I still have that Gremlin though...I actually plan on adding some better finish detailing. The rear window of the Gremlin is now the windshield, there is a flat-4 in the original engine compartment, the fender flairs are from an 80's Dodge charger kit.
