  1. Yeah, what Bill said. Digikey and Mouser can supply also if you don't mind mailorder, they have various gages and colors, sometimes referred to as wrap or wire-wrap.
  2. I second this, start a new thread if you want to discuss the merits of TDR parts and let them respond.
  3. I think I have seen some pager vibrator motors that would fit inside those door cavities but making the controller buttons would be a pain.
  4. Now thems some proper door hinges.
  5. dang, I'd have found it if I had searched for "ugliest car"...
  6. That's fine with me.
  7. darn thing insisted on being a slide show...try going here http://www.flickr.com/photos/blunc
  8. link to photos, frame/suspension pix are sprinkled around in the set; http://www.flickr.com/photos/blunc/
  9. My first car was a 57 Town Victoria 4dr in factory black enamel that was saved from a wrecking yard. It had a big 6 in it that went from Az to Idaho and back with a rod knock. The rod knock ended one morning when the rod exited the block right behind the drivers motor mount, I pulled over and turned off the motor so I could find out what I saw bouncing down the road behind me. A 312 replaced the dead 6. :)/>
  10. I post from my phone quite a bit, I only get server errors late at night and not when posting.
  11. Ugly bag of mostly water.
  12. How about torsion sprung trunk hinges so peeps won't be propping their trunks open with toothpicks...
  13. I'm guessing it's a model...
  14. the hands of a surgeon....a plastic surgeon.
  15. I had a 68 Firebird that was light gray and metallic gunmetal with light blue accents...
  16. I took some suspension pix at the good guys southwest nats last weekend, link is in the contests thread.
  17. Now if I told that, everyone would follow me to the Irish countryside...that just won't work for me.
  18. Nice trick on the opening swap. Nice call on moving the wheels back instead of chopping off the trunk, I hadn't considered that option. Kudos to Billy for allowing us to kibitz on his great idea, I may borrow some of these techniques for my own future builds. Anyone that hasn't checked out Mark Gustafsen's Kustom Car Clinic (may have spelled that wrong), go have a look, he has good tips on tweeking custom design elements.
  19. I would probly leave the USA, it's not gonna be a safe place in the near future. A well stocked, self sufficient place in the Irish countryside might work for me, I would have to get a copter...
  20. Actually, if Dr. Cranky wasn't kidding, he might have problems with Garlit's legal staff. Most celebs guard their image rather aggressively since it's part of their livelyhood.
  21. I can understand why John doesn't want to pursue this...it would take a lot of the time he can be creating his next masterpiece. and all that lawyer stuff is just basically a big pain in the arse and considering the scoundrel that ripped his photo may be in another country makes it just that much harder. Karma will take care of that hooligan....MODEL KARMA!!!
  22. The back end looks a little long for a sportster, I suggest the following chop/section:
  23. If John wants to pursue this issue and has the original photos/files then I wish him the best on this, most good artists get rewarded for their masterpieces. If he doesn't want to pursue this then we should just drop this thread.
  24. Instead of a 9v battery, you can group three of the 3v coin batteries together, that might fit into a gas tank.
  25. I like this "out of the box" thinking. Maybe cut the header to three tubes instead of four, make people think it's a corvair eng.
