My family just finds it easier to publish wish lists to the rest of the family, the only possible downside is duplicates...which is not always a bad thing.
dang....when things go past the $100 mark I usually decide to just make my own...

detailing looks good to me.
just don't mess it up by running the fuel lines to the carb vacuum secondary diaphragms.
I'm sensing a little bias here... just kidding.
Just get this budding modeler started right, proper handling of parts, how to separate from the sprue without mangling the parts, etc...
And, oh yeah, have fun.
the cougar2 was originally an IMC kit, they were usually well detailed though the ones I had personally seemed a bit smaller than the 1/25 scale claimed on the box.
the door windows on the cougar2 don't actually "roll" up/down but the are made to be raised/lowered and I think the front wheels are poseable.
find out what excites this potential model builder, whether it's race cars, hot rods, custom cars, trucks...etc.
introduce to this forum, show the possibilities, advise that it's a learning process and that skills need to be learned/developed.
