  1. First concert I ever went to was PJ at Madison square garden, I was probably 16 or 17. It was AWESOME! Seeing Eddie Vedder climbing up to the rafters on a microphone cable is something I'll never forget.
  2. Tom that's a good one lol. Yea I'm definitely gonna have to change it up a little next time. However hard it may be lol.
  3. Thanks mike! Got my order today, super nice stuff!
  4. Jeff Healy's version of while my guitar gently weeps is pretty awesome too http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=660a3z7r2_4
  5. Yup, the joy of owning a beagle, they eat everything lol
  6. This is chip. We wound up taking him home after going to "just look at puppies" one day. Told us he would be about thirty pounds, he now 82 lol. And this is Ollie, we got him on New Year's Day 2014. Last night he ate a shoe lol.
  7. Great thread! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cXsjqeVywkw Stevie Ray Vaughans version of little wing by Hendrix http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nZsFWuXNiNE Dave Matthews band and warren Haynes covering Neil youngs Cortez the killer. Not sure if these really qualify as well known songs but they're killer versions. One more, joe satriani covering sleep walk, not sure who wrote the original http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=msq6v1zzZps
  8. Yup it's just something about blue, I have plenty of other colored paint too but I always come back to the blue. Next couple of builds I'm gonna force myself to do something different, I have not one green build so I think it's about time for one lol.
  9. Thank you guys, most of my builds wind being painted some kind of blue. I should probably try to switch it up next time lol.
  10. Just a quick update, I got the engine in the chassis after a little bit of a fight. I had to take some material off of the frame rails and the insides of the upper A arms and also bend the exhaust manifolds in with some heat. Then I had to take some material off of the inner fender wells to clear the engine. Nothing too extreme so far but still a little bit of a pain. The hood finally got clear coat on it which should be polished out today. Exhaust was added but I broke off the tail pipes on accident so those have to get fixed. I added some coil over shocks from vcg resin on the back, which may have to get moved in I'm not too sure yet. Just have to add a drive shaft and a few other things and then final assembly. Thanks for looking.
  11. Sorry no updates on this right now, it's boxed up under the workbench till I finish my current project. Not too much left on this one till it's done.
  12. Small world lol, we used to have a hobby shop in east islip but they closed years ago, I remember going in there when I was like 7 or 8. The little testors jars were 89cents lol Where's that located?
  13. I live about ten minutes from bayshore hobbies, I know what you guys mean about it being packed. From floor to ceiling is no exaggeration lol. But aside from a little higher on the prices, anything you can ever imagine relating to hobbies he's usually got in stock.
  14. This is turning out great so far, I like the color. Those wheels look awesome I may have to get myself a set. Nice work so far.
  15. Very nice work so far, very clean, looking good
  16. Thanks guys! Russ I don't really have a lot of info on dirt modeler as this was the first product I've ever used from them. But from what I did get I can say the detail on the parts is great. Pretty sure there's a link to the website in the aftermarket directory. The auto air has a bit of a learning curve to it, but I think with a little bit of practice you can get a great result. I think I stripped the paint off this one three times before I got it looking decent. I did however have trouble wet sanding before I put clear coat on which I wasn't too crazy about.
  17. Very much appreciate the encouraging comments guys thank you! I had some time tonight to get the interior just about wrapped up, just have to add the tach on the dash. Thanks for looking.
  18. Thanks guys. Dirt modeler is an aftermarket company, they carry some really cool stuff. I'm a little hesitant to black wash the numbers. They're super tiny and I'm afraid of knocking them off, if I do I would probably have to use a needle to get paint in there. I didn't have a chance to get anything done on this last night. Hopefully I can get some time in today. Thanks for looking guys.
  19. Thanks for the kind words guys. I finally got color on the hood. It basically had to be taken back apart, and filled again and sanded. I'll get a picture up tonight. Also I wanted 572 badging somewhere on the car, so I cut up a 307 and a 502 badge out of the 70 chevelle detail set and made my own. It looks a little crooked in the picture because of how close up it is, but to someone looking at it with their eyes it looks straight. Thanks for looking
  20. Got some stuff in the mail this week. Rotors and calipers from dirt modeler and some Pegasus wheels. I also started putting together the from suspension with home made springs. I also cut up the grill so I can use a photo etch one instead. The head lights were stripped and are going to be painted with alclad. Sorry if the pics are a little blurry I'm using my cell phone.
  21. Thank you guys. It does actually have some fine metallic flake in there, didn't notice til you pointed it out. Happy Easter all!
  22. I got just a little bit further on the interior. Some blue flocking for carpet, and some pretty cool chevy floor mats from plastic dreams. Also the dash has some under dash gauges, and is still going to get a tach mounted up top which I haven't gotten around to adding yet. Also I still have to paint and detail the center console.
  23. Thank you! I made a little bit of progress on some of the interior, it's not quite there yet but it's getting done. So far I have all the parts painted and I started detailing the dash and door panels. I'm not crazy about how those pin heads came out, they look a little out of whack. I may take them out. I went with gauges from protech instead of the kit decal just to give it a little more of a custom look.
