  1. awesome build underhood is real awesome care to share your technique for the woodwork on the interior? I still struggle with this issue on kits with "woodgrain"
  2. need to be re-tooled and reissued as 1/25 scale! I would buy the heck outta them not much of a 1/32 fan or the bigger 1/20 ......
  3. very nice indeed!
  4. I need some ford exp's to company my ford escorts and other small fwd 80's and 90's vehicles I got yesterday 3 more fox mustangs of course! 1) the mpc 84 mustang ( molded red sparkle plastic) build up I need to restore! 2) complete silver mpc 84 svo (silver molded) 3) complete with box hot rod series cobra fox mustang very interesting kit has a capri rear bumper, the flared fender body, the McLaren front bumper and hood, and sail panels that are neither mustang sails. nor capri sail panels just "filler" sail panels very cool nonetheless would love to get more of them!
  5. Just glanced at the bookshelf and looked and saw of course naturally all 7 seasons of MacGyver staring at me! Did anyone else love Richard dean Anderson as much as I did in this t.v. series? I thought Mac was the man! would love to see what this guy could do with model kits considering his bomb making skills from sticks of chewing gum, foil wrappers and paper clips (ya'll get the idea) figured this may end up being interesting off subject topic! think I may watch some tonight!
  6. all fine kits I dunno much about the mini though....
  7. moving along although photobucket is not cooperating........ trying to upload current build status i'm starting to notice especially from the photo I may not have extended out my rear quite enuff but i'm going to keep rolling with it and see how it comes out if not very good looking I will cut out another section of the other jeep body to lengthen things more..... I have the top pretty much done except sanding of putty, and the center bulkhead behind the seats, and the rear window marked off but not cut out yet.....
  8. main body and cab are coming along just some more sanding to go very slow going process still searching for the "right" paints for the scheme
  9. nice haul chris I did finally get you on my very big list of good traders!! I love the Omni and fall guy that Omni I do not have! very nice haul
  10. as my 2 yr old daughter Gracelyn would say UH OH! looks possibly detrimental!!
  11. my room had a single twin bed utop some hard wood storage drawers I had a chest I could store a tv in, had a pullout desk a single chair then there was a common space that had the door to my neighbors room the kitchen with fridge and microwave, and bathroom with shower, spent many a days and hours sitting in my small room messing with models
  12. like I said "thank you hotwheels! " never would have thought of it either had I not got the "cars" out of storage for my 2 yr old daughter to play with yeah I probly have like a hundred projects all at once... well maybe not that many but yeah ALOT! I plan on building ALL my stash and be left with nothing but a empty box collection lol
  13. nice benny i'll trade/ swap anytime!!
  14. yes they are imperfect i'm not worried about correcting the flares either, tho at least someone (thank you revel) kitted a capri......
  15. nice stash evil benny! looks like the move in is coming along?......
  16. always wanted one of those svt contours just because 1) It was a svt ford 2) they looked good 3) Fast? 4 door with a stick! 4) reminded me of the sho Taurus I've heard a lot of them are wireing nightmares? have seen for myself at junkyards the wires are very small/ frail looking and looks like theres hundreds of wires in any given harness anywhere on the car.....
  17. good info I was gonna chime in that it was thought to be a satellite was daisys car apparently its already been well covered
  18. thank you for pointing that out my fellow Minnesotan! Jordan until you said it I didn't take note of the squared rear flares.... guess I can carefully remove the front flares off the donor body and use them over the rear openings...... will be a start anyways! man i'm jazzed about this jeep guess I will have to make a custom crawler out of whats left of the other body since it will be shorter a war jeep/ CJ 5 ?
  19. thank you longbox55!! I love the light blue one! to bad theres no decals..... hmmm will have to check aftermarket.....
  20. never kitted a 5.0 capri just the turbo capri 2.3 4 bagger and the capri turbo rs kit same thing pretty much one molded in black and came with a ski rack and ski's and the other molded in silver very cool kits even though they are very basic.... easily modified though
  21. so there I was playing hot wheels with my Daughter ( we went to storage and got the box of "cars") to play with I was sorting things out havn't seen these things in some time and there it was I saw the Jeep and the lightbulb went off in my head, someone had done a similar build with the newer revel jeep, but I have 3 older CJ jeeps I quickly got them out dumped out the baggie of jeep parts held up the body to the scrambler hot wheel, smiled and said to myself (Eureka!) i'm going to extend the back half of one of these here body and frame assemblys and chop a spare top down and build me a scrambler! ( a j-10 jeep pickup and a jeep cj mixed??) that's sorta what it looks like hence the name I suppose "scrambler" is it even a real jeep? even if its not i'm going to make one not going to make perfect measurements or anything just going to eyeball things and make myself happy with it. ( That is the fun of this hobby) doing what you want with what you have! wish me luck on this custom one..... pretty excited about this one!
  22. once squadron green has dried will be time to sand the fake rust holes down hopefully smoothe and body will be restored..... and I can figure out what color to paint it!....
  23. the black and maroon cars are "crimson cat" and "black cat" versions I am also planning a "white lightning" version as well if you happen to have any photos of your old car it may be very helpful for my "cat" builds..... especially with the gold striping i'm just kinda on a whim with them right now havn't found many rear views of the cars at all to see where the stripes go.......
  24. does anyone else carry over their modeling skills into the 1:1 world of their daily drivers project cars, street and hot rods etc..... heres a couple pics of my valve covers for my 85 mustang all polished up, detail painted the "powered by ford" and clear coated all in my barraks room while I was in the military lol I was extremely disappointed when I got my motor back from the machine shop and they had painted it black instead of the factory ford gray so eventually I repainted the valve covers again in a matte black and sanded down the fins and powered down on top for the aluminum look exposed on top looking for pic.... I always thought the yellow accel wires complimented my lt blue car well??
  25. these are all very old found the pics stashed far away in the cobwebs of th e bottom of my photobucket all photos are from my barraks room days in the military.... pretty much all of these kits have been dissected and rebuilt in some way shape or form..... revell café racer foxbody getting ready for 99' cobra irs and drivetrain transplant... front veiws rear views foreground was an attempted 85 gt mustang drag car (since been dismantled several times and in process of rebuild again!)
