  4. Wow, john i have a rat rod magazine that has that exact same car in it and when you put your model and the real car next to each other you can't tell which is the real car great job.
  5. Some more updates on the surf wagon got the surf board painted and some rust pigments and washes on there plan on adding some sand in there to with the rust.

  7. Here is a little update on the surf wagon. i got the surf board rack for the top of the roof all done an put together. used some of the distress products by Tim Holtz to get the wood to look at weathered hope you like.

  9. update on the surf wagon. its been awhile since i worked on it last. taped off the roof and added spray mount and painted it flat black to get a vinyl top look. got the engine all put together and add it to the frame. hope you like.
  10. Anne, its a fun kit to build there is a lot of tiny prices though for the doors that i almost lost a couple times lol. you'll have to post it on here so i can see what you come up with thanks for the compliment.

  14. Little update on the surf wagon. painted the frame flat black and the suspension flat aluminum and painted the firewall flat black. i plan on weathering it by misting some sand color on there and put some real sand on there as well. hope you like...

  16. Its actually a nail polish of my wifes that i found and it was called blue surf. it was a pretty old bottle but the paint was still good im glad you like it.
  17. Thanks Tom, well when i began this kit i origanly wanted it weathered with a flat finish but when i got done spraying the body it went on so nicely that now im not sure if i want it shiny or flat finish and weathered.

  20. Thanks guys for the info. i usually do strip all of my chrome first but i ended up switching ideas on how i wanted the paint scheme to go and it involves stripping the chrome off but o well should be easier putting the suspension together the 2nd time around lol

Im working on this 31 ford model A and i put the front and rear suspension together because the where all chromed, and i used 5 min. epoxy to glue them. my question is know i wanna strip the chrome off and i usually use drano gel to take the chrome off, will the drano gel also take the epoxy off and i will have to re-glue the suspension again.

  23. Here is a little update on the surf wagon... i scratched built a roof rack for the surf boards still have a little work to do on them yet. Then i found the color the body is going to be i knew i wanted blue but wasn't sure witch color. hope you like.
  24. Here is a mock-up of my surf wagon just a little preview of what im going for.
  25. Little update... just got all of the suspension put together. all of it was chrome so i decided to use 5 min. opoxi to glue it all together to i have a nice sturdy suspension. i plan on weathering the chrome a little bit as well.
