  1. Thanks Chris . I should be able to throw some paint at it soon
  2. Cool find make sure when you do restore it that you turn the side vent on the hood the right way . The bars should go vertical
  3. Sorry Scott its going to be 4x4 but not lifted
  4. Fantastic work Sam I look forward to round two
  5. Thanks John I will give it a try At this point I will try anything its doing my head in
  6. Thanks John but I still wont take credit for the paint as my good friend did I for me as it was base and clear . I have never used it before . My friend John scanned the 1/1 with a Spectroanaliser ( not sure how to spell that one ) With a laser ! Then mixed it for me then sprayed it in a booth . It is blemish free and looks like glass . As for the vinyl top that is my work it took 3 attempts to get the right look . In the end I used a sticky back vinyl I found in a craft store then painted it a with a mix of dark military green and some satin clear. Its close to the Gator Grain but I could not get the look exact
  7. This is so much of a better kit than that UPTOWN kit . Your doing a great job with it . Nice colour too . I look forward to more
  8. Nice rescue . Is there a build tread ?
  9. And its still ongoing John..! After flatting the roof down AGAIN I found that it was not as flat as I had hoped for. There is a distinct hump in the middle that will need sanding out . But I think that the plasticard that I put on the roof to bridge the gap is creating the bulge. So I may have to remove it ...! We will see
  10. That's one rare beast . Its the first time ive ever seen one built. Your did a great job on it too
  11. I stand corrected again Nice RR BTW
  12. Fantastic work very realistic
  13. Slick paint nice colour
  14. In the UK we call Spark plugs Spark plugs not sparking plugs. Plus we don't have Dynamos any more we have alternators and sparking wires are HT leads (High Tension leads) Also Shock absorbers are not called Dampers very often they just get called Shocks
  15. John that strip across the inside of the hood looks the same as my 1/1 Charger . I think it should be painted matt black as it is on my 1/1. There is no rubber across there . If im wrong I'm sure someone will chime in
  16. Great work John . Those valves look really good
  17. Looking great John . Grill looks very realistic
  18. Still working up the courage to tackle the scribing I have re filled the bits that needed doing. I think I will practice on an old body first before jumping in on the Dodge
  19. Nice work love the colour well done
  20. I don't relish the prospect of scribing . I never had any scribing go well . I always skate off the line. So I will try the suggested taping method . Wish me luck
  21. Thanks guys I have some filling to do before I can scribe anything . The worst bit is the door on the passenger side where one of my cuts was not the best so its all filler. So I will fill it all and do all the scribing once its all flat.
  22. Thanks Mark I will give it a go but I'm not to good at scribing.
